This slide show is to give some idea how this show was prepared, built and operated from techies' point of view. It took 5 weeks of planning and preparation to run this 2 day festival flawlessly. Some people can't even imagine how difficult and challenging it is to arrange this kind of entertainment. Enjoy and wait for some more!

    Whew... Haven't been here some time. Difficult to answer all the coments, but I'm glad you like it. Regarding power ratings, it's bit more than 1000W AES. But that is very misleading number, you should look at sensitivity figures along with some design simulations to be sure you compare apples vs apples.

    KLA is not really a line array, that is multipurpose 15' speaker, so it falls in different category. Their locking mechanism is neat, however not sure will it last long.

    This is bass only in a small car. 130dB in the highs is like someone shouting into your ears.

    I went to a gig that was 122dB a foot from the speakers and that was loud enough for me :D

    I've got this question, not sure if stupid or not: this system with al of it's power hits 130 easily in a small room you say. I believe that, 130 is a huge number. But how this fuck do people manage to get 150db's with a single sub?? /watch?v=dlPQm0kCthk Not to be disrespectfull, just curious. P.S. nice video (:

    @BasherCoon bass doesn't sound as loud for the dB or damage your hearing as much. Though 160dB is pretty extreme and systems that loud are just like one big subwoofer box on wheels. With highs, 115dB will fill your entire brain with noise, that is about the loudest sensation of loudness, it just starts to tickle your ears then. 130+dB of highs is someone screaming in your ear.

  • @maciiol2

    Yes I agree. I would just go for the P.A, not because I don't like Hi-fi, thats much more clean sound you will get from that, when P.A is more distorted. But P.A do never disappoint me, thats why.

  • @maciiol2
    @maciiol2 12 лет назад

    @BasherCoon Thats true. But P.A systems do also have a lot larger range, when it is about spreading the noise. Thats why you don't use Hi-fi systems for large Party's.

  • @maciiol2
    @maciiol2 12 лет назад

    @BasherCoon Yes, but that is with car audio/hi-fi systems. Thats not the same as P.A systems. If your playing 160 db with a PA System, it feels like 200 db for your ears..

    @mikehoncho119 this was measured about 40m (120 ft) from the PA, the far end of venue. If you have 50 by 50 ft place you definately will not need system that size, you would easy hit 130 dB and I'm not sure if this is what you really want. At this level you can't tell any difference if it sounds good or bad, your single wish is to get out of that hardcore.

  • @ddfflv
    @ddfflv 12 лет назад

    @cardboardcat15 you either start as a freelancer in some local PA company and if you show some interest and skill you might go up the hierarchy with a time or you go to get enigneer degree in some technical university and then get some PA company to hire you as a specialist. Both can take about same time.

    Hey, how many feet away was the 122db read at? You laughed when kalosanin2 said I'd love to put that in my room. So here's my question for you.. take that system and shove it into a small room say 50 foot by 50 foot. what do you think it could do then DB wise? what hurdles do you see that you'd need to that to have your system perform well and sound good in that small of room?

    @americaneagle791 well, that is nice system indeed. Do you have experience with other rigs as well? For example d&b, Meyer, L'acoustics, Martin? I've been mixing on most these systems and I would not put JBL on top of the list. But in the same time I know many engineers that would, and I respect their oppinion.

  • @ddfflv

    @SanctumStudios any idea for replacement?

  • @ddfflv
    @ddfflv 13 лет назад

    @DJfive5six you're right. So far we don't have any institution like OSHA in our country, but if we would we had to have much more safety equipment. And I think one day we will

  • @ddfflv
    @ddfflv 13 лет назад

    @ffgato76 well, out guys been pushing different rigs arround long before and when we created the system we wanted it to be as portable as possible. This way you need only 2 people to carry whole rig. If it was done like Meyer style when there is dolly with 4 boxes stacked you wouldn't be able to get that upstairs and up/down the ramp without equipment. The system has been out for more than 200 events and so far no problems with assembly speed - whole rig (28 boxes) go up in less than hour.

  • @ddfflv
    @ddfflv 13 лет назад

    @stefanmplayer absolutely - you'll get as many oppinions as engineers. My favorite system so far is K1 from L'Acoustics.

  • @stefanmplayer
    @stefanmplayer 13 лет назад

    @organeu well if you put 20 sound engineers in a room you'd propably get 20 different best brands so that remains an infinite point of discussion, also your home country plays a role in that, american systems tend to be very aggressive according to european standards and european systems tend to sound a lot smoother (both systems natively with 0 EQ by the way.) anyhow, vertec indeed remains a very very very nice system to work with ;)
